Montpellier president Louis Nicollin has revealed that he would love to appoint Diego Maradona as his team's coach next season.
Rene Girard will leave the defending French champions at the end of the season when his current contract runs out.
"To annoy PSG, I'd like to bring in Diego Maradona," Nicollin told RMC Radio.
"If I get that guy, I wouldn't need to do anything. He's a film all by himself. With him, we'd be on the front page of every paper.
"I've thought about it, but I don't see him coaching Montpellier. I don't have the means of the Qataris to bring him in."
Maradona is currently without a managerial job.
