Deadline day key events
Wolves considering move for Mozambique international?
Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified Sporting Lisbon winger Geny Catamo as a potential January transfer target.
Vitor Pereira's side suffered their third successive defeat in the Premier League on Monday night as they lost 3-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Having now conceded 51 goals in 22 matches to leave the club in 17th position in the table and only outside of the relegation zone on goal difference, Wolves' problem area of the pitch is clear.
With Mario Lemina potentially leaving Molineux before the February 3 deadline, acquiring a new central midfielder or player who can be deployed in a back three is a priority.
'One of the world's most promising defenders': City confirm second January signing
Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Vitor Reis from Palmeiras for a reported €35m (£29.6m).
Reis, who turned 19 on January 12, has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract and becomes Pep Guardiola's second signing of the January transfer window after defender Abdukodir Khusanov, whose €40m move from Lens was announced on Monday.
The centre-back will wear the No.22 shirt at Man City and leaves Palmeiras after making just 22 first-team appearances in all competitions since and including his senior debut in June last year.
"I'm excited to join Manchester City, one of the biggest clubs in the world," Reis told the club's official website. "Everyone has seen the amazing achievements in recent seasons, and I want to make my mark as we seek more trophies.
Defensive incoming: Villa announce signing of Spanish right-back
Aston Villa have confirmed that they have completed a deal for Levante defender Andres Garcia.
The Premier League outfit are currently preparing for a potentially-pivotal Champions League fixture at Monaco on Tuesday night.
Nevertheless, it has not prevented Villa from finalising the arrival of Garcia with the club having been keen to sign a new right-back since the start of the January window.
Although a fee has not been disclosed by the West Midlands club, widespread reports have indicated that they are paying in the region of £6m for the 21-year-old.
Brentford win race for Liverpool target? Latest transfer news and rumours today
Brentford are reportedly on the verge of signing defender Michael Kayode from Serie A side Fiorentina.
The 20-year-old has previously been linked with a number of other Premier League clubs including Liverpool, who were understood to have added the Italian to their shortlist of targets.
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Thomas Frank's Brentford are now closing in on the signing of Kayode, with negotiations at the 'final stages' after the player gave the green light to join the Bees.
'Key details' still need to be clarified in club-to-club talks, but it appears that Brentford are set to bolster their ranks with a highly-rated defender, who can operate as a full-back or wing-back.
Ligue 1 club 'emerge as surprise frontrunners' for Man United forward Rashford
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford reportedly has a new frontrunner in the race for his signature.
The long-serving academy graduate has been absent from Ruben Amorim's plans since a Europa League fixture with Viktoria Plzen on December 12.
At a time when Amorim has doubled down on several occasions over his decision to leave out the England international, Rashford has been linked with a wide array of clubs.
AC Milan allegedly want the versatile attacker to make an immediate decision over his future, while Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona have emerged as potential destinations.
