Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul out of Southampton clash with knee injury

Newcastle United confirm that goalkeeper Tim Krul will play no part in Saturday's match against Southampton due to a knee injury.

Newcastle United have confirmed that goalkeeper Tim Krul will miss Saturday's Premier League match against Southampton with a knee injury.

The Netherlands shot-stopper required treatment during Tuesday's 3-0 defeat to Everton after colliding with Romelu Lukaku.

It has now been announced on the Magpies' official Twitter account that Krul will play no part in this weekend's encounter.

Manager Alan Pardew has revealed in Thursday's press conference that he could be without his goalkeeper for the next two or three games due to the injury.

Newcastle are currently eighth in the league table, with seven games left to play.
