Newcastle United are believed to be weighing up a move for Nimes forward Anthony Koura, according to reports.
The Frenchman had a trial with the Magpies in 2012 and according to The Chronicle, reports in France suggest that the club had scouts watching the 22-year-old in Nimes's draw with Dijon.
The striker could be available for £300,000 as his contract runs out in the summer, but it is believed that Newcastle will face competition from Watford and local rivals Sunderland for his signature.
The former French youth international has made nine appearances in Ligue 2 this season, scoring one goal.
