Eintracht Frankfurt defender Jetro Willems has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Newcastle United.
The Magpies are expected to be active during the January window, although it remains unclear how much money Rafael Benitez will be given to spend on new players.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the Spaniard has already identified Willems as a possible addition at full-back at the midway point of the season.
The 24-year-old has made 48 appearances for the German side since joining from PSV Eindhoven in 2017, and the left-sided defender still has just over two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
Roma are also said to be interested in the Netherlands international, who is likely to cost in excess of the £4.5m which Frankfurt paid ahead of the last campaign.
