Manchester United have confirmed that midfielder Paul Scholes has finalised a one-year contract extension at the club.
There were questions over the future of the 37-year-old, who came out of retirement to aid the Red Devils last season, but the former England international has decided to remain at Old Trafford.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed earlier this month that the veteran would play on for another season after almost leading the North West club to their 20th league title.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ben Amos has also committed his future to the former English champions by signing a new three-year contract.
