Norwich City are reportedly in line to make Strasbourg striker Nuno da Costa their first permanent signing following their promotion back to the Premier League.
The Canaries have made no secret of the fact that they will have severely limited funds available to strengthen this summer but are said to be prepared to spend £5m of their budget on Da Costa, who netted eight times in Ligue 1 last term.
The 28-year-old, who has also been monitored by Brighton & Hove Albion, moved to Strasbourg from Valenciennes in 2017 for just £500,000 and is entering the final two years of his contract.
According to The Sun, Norwich are in pole position to land the Cape Verde international as the French side look to cash in for the right price.
Daniel Farke's side have already secured the loan capture of Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts and are also considering deals for Joe Hart and Antwerp right-back Daniel Opare.
