Former England international Paul Ince reportedly puts himself forward to become Steve Cotterill's successor at Nottingham Forest.

Former Notts County boss Paul Ince has reportedly put himself forward for the vacant managerial role with Nottingham Forest.

The Reds are in the hunt for a new boss following the club's new Kuwaiti owners' decision to axe Steve Cotterill from the helm at the City Ground.

Following former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Mick McCarthy's snub during talks with the outfit, it is understood that Ince has applied to be considered for the position, according to Sky Sports News.

Reports have claimed that Glenn Hoddle and Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson are the top contenders for the vacancy.
