Hayden Mullins has said that he is eager to help Notts County manager Shaun Derry steer the club away from relegation danger.
The 34-year-old has joined the League One strugglers from Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season.
Mullins, who played alongside Derry at Crystal Palace, has said that he is looking forward to working with the Notts boss again.
"I've known Shaun for a while, having played with him, and maybe he saw something in me that I can help some of the younger players or the team in general," he told the club's official website.
"Whatever it is, I'll be giving everything to try and get wins for him. I need to play games for myself as well and if I can get a few here it'll be brilliant.
"My contract's up at the end of the year with Birmingham so it's in my best interests to play games and dropping down to League One was never an issue."
Notts currently sit 22nd in the table.
