Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams hails second-half display

Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams warns his side about starting matches slowly after they come from two goals down to defeat AFC Wimbledon.

Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams has lavished praise on his players after they came from two goals down to defeat AFC Wimbledon 3-2 in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Pilgrims boss described their second-half display as "unplayable" but warned his team that they cannot start matches as slowly as they did.

"For 15 minutes as a team, we were unplayable at the start of the second half. We have the ability to be a very good team, a top team, but we can't start games like we did tonight and allow a team two goals. At this stage in a campaign, you can't do that," he told reporters.

"We've got ability and a togetherness and that shone in the second half. We've created chances in the game and we could have scored more in the second half."

Carl McHugh scored the goal that fired Plymouth into the next round just before the hour mark.
