Karl Henry: 'Personal form is little consolation'

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Karl Henry concedes that he is happy with his displays this season but it means very little when his side are struggling in the table.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Karl Henry believes that his own good form is little consolation for his side's predicament in the Premier League.

The 32-year-old has been a solid contributor for Harry Redknapp's men this season, which was highlighted in his robust display in his team's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United.

Henry has admitted that he is pleased with his current level of performances, but has conceded it doesn't mean much when the R's are not getting positive results.

He told the club's official website: "I was happy with my performance on Saturday but, more importantly, you want to get the points. I am enjoying my football and I'm enjoying being in the team, but we need to make sure we get ourselves out of the bottom three.

"I think I have been fairly consistent. I'd like to think I've been playing well but I wouldn't go any further than that.

"It's difficult to take much personal satisfaction when you've lost. I'm sure when all is said and done and you look back on your career, you're able to think more about your individual performances but in the here and now, it is just so important that we stay up. That's the focus."

QPR are 19th in the Premier League, but are only one point adrift of safety.
