Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is certain that his side can avoid relegation this season.
The Hoops currently sit bottom of the Premier League and are seven points from safety after their 4-1 defeat at Swansea City on Saturday.
QPR find themselves in a similar position to that of Portsmouth seven years ago, who went on to survive that year under the guidance of Redknapp, and the boss is hoping that he can repeat the great escape.
"I am confident we can survive. I know it is going to be hard, and I think it will go to the wire but it is not impossible," said Redknapp.
"It is very similar to the situation I had with Portsmouth, it is much the same if you look at the stats.
"I think that was down to the last 10 games that we got out at Pompey with 20-odd points. That is what we need here, it's not impossible."
QPR host Manchester United in their next match on February 23.
