Joey Barton says that he wants to see out the rest of his career at Marseille.

Marseille midfielder Joey Barton has admitted that he wants to remain at the club for the remainder of his career.

Barton, who is on a season-long loan deal with the Ligue 1 side from Queens Park Rangers, reveals that he would like to stay with OM for the rest of his playing days.

"'I am truly happy here, it's a place where I'd like to be for the rest of my career," Barton told RMC Sport.

"[I will stay] for as long as they want me here. They gave me an opportunity when everyone was very negative about me in England. I'll never forget that."

Barton moved to France after he was given a 12-game Premier League ban for attacking Manchester City's Sergio Aguero on the final day of last season.
