Rangers have been left needing to make a late search for pre-season friendlies after they suffered an embarrassing elimination from the Europa League.
On Tuesday night, the Scottish giants lost 2-0 to Progres Niederkorn of Luxembourg to exit the competition in the first qualifying round.
Had they progressed, boss Pedro Caixinha would have used their remaining qualifying matches as their preparation for the new domestic campaign, but it has been suggested by The Scottish Sun that they currently have no plans in place for the next four weeks.
Rangers are scheduled to begin their Scottish Premiership campaign with a trip to Motherwell on August 5, before they host Hibernian at Ibrox a week later.
Caixinha has described their humiliating setback as a "once-in-a-lifetime" event.
