Rangers are reportedly aiming to sign Albania international Eros Grezda from Osijek before the transfer window closes later this week.
The 23-year-old is believed to be in Glasgow discussing terms with the Scottish Premiership side ahead of Friday's deadline.
Sky Sports News reports that Osijek value Grezda at around £2m, which the Gers are willing to pay, but a work permit must also be sorted.
Grezda, capped six times by Albania at senior level, is seen as a replacement for long-term injury victim Jamie Murphy out wide.
Rangers have already brought in five new players since Steven Gerrard arrived earlier this summer, including fellow Osijek ace Borna Barisic.
