Half-Time Report: Reading score twice in first half

Reading are 2-0 ahead at half time in their game against Watford, thanks to goals from Jem Karacan and Adam le Fondre.

Reading have a 2-0 lead at half time in their game against Watford at the Madejski Stadium this afternoon.

The Royals took the lead eight minutes into the game when Adam le Fondre tapped in a Jobi McAnuff cross from close range.

Fernando Forestieri almost levelled the scores for the Hornets, but Alex McCarthy was able to parry his effort away.

The Reading keeper had to remain sharp as Lewis McGugan took a shot on the half-hour mark, but McCarthy watched it all the way before making a solid catch.

Jem Karacan doubled the advantage shortly before half time, coolly slotting the ball past Manuel Almunia with a right-footed finish.
