Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has refused to play down the importance of reaching the Champions League final this season.
Los Blancos hold a 1-0 lead from the first leg of their semi-final against Bayern Munich last week, with the second leg to take place on Tuesday evening in Germany.
"This is a very important competition for Real Madrid, especially because if we win this year, the club will have won its 10th European Cup," he told AS.
"It would be something special for everyone and the sooner we achieve if the better. It would be incredible if we could win La Decima in my first year here.
"If we can manage the negative experiences, it can make us better and be a very strong motivator. After three semi-finals, I think Real Madrid deserves to play in the finals, but that's something that depends on us and no one else."
Madrid last won the competition in 2002.
