Mats Hummels relishing Bernabeu challenge

Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels expects to face a Real Madrid side that are desperate to secure revenge when they meet at the Bernabeu on Tuesday.

Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has declared that he is excited by the impending challenge of taking on Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Hummels helped Dortmund secure an impressive victory over the Spanish champions two weeks ago in a breakthrough Champions League performance for the Bundesliga winners.

Jurgen Klopp's side went top of Group D with the win but Hummels revealed that he expects Madrid to be desperate to secure instant revenge on Tuesday.

He told reporters: "I'm sure they'll want to get revenge and that's a fantastic challenge.

"I don't know what to expect and what will be waiting for us at the Bernabeu in all honesty, but without a doubt the atmosphere will be fantastic."

Dortmund were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Stuttgart last weekend to slip to fifth in the Bundesliga table.
