Jose Mourinho says that he will use either Gonzalo Higuian or Karim Benzema as a lone forward against Barcelona.

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has declared that he will play with one striker against Barcelona in Saturday's El Clasico clash.

The former Chelsea boss has claimed that he plans to use a lone striker supported by Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel di Maria in the upcoming clash of the European giants.

Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema have both been in good form recently but the Portuguese manager has not yet mentioned which player he will use.

"Both of them will not play. It will be Cristiano and Di Maria and Benzema or Higuain," Mourinho said.

Both Madrid and Barcelona have featured in the Champions League this week, with the focus mostly being on the 'El Clasico'. However, Mourinho has said that he sees it as just another league game.

"It is one more game and there is not much time until it starts.

"That is normal for us. For everyone else it is a different game, but for us life continues as normal."

Los Blancos beat Ajax 3-0 on Wednesday night.
