Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Mallorca

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Mallorca.

Real Madrid will be looking to continue their positive start to the 2019-20 La Liga season when they travel to an out-of-form Mallorca on Saturday night.

Los Blancos have won five and drawn three of their eight league matches this term to sit top of the table - two points clear of second-placed Barcelona ahead of this weekend's fixtures.

Madrid will enter the match off the back of a 4-2 win over Granada before the international break, and the clash with Mallorca comes exactly one week before the first Clasico of the campaign at Camp Nou.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's clash.

Marco Asensio faces a battle to play again this season after suffering a serious knee injury during the team's preparations for the 2019-20 campaign. A timeframe on his return has not yet been set by the club.

Nacho could miss the rest of 2019 after picking up a knee ligament injury during the recent Champions League clash with Club Brugge. The versatile defender's return has been pencilled in for the latter stages of December.

Madrid have been without the services of Ferland Mendy for their last four matches in all competitions due to a groin problem. The summer arrival is once again a huge doubt for this weekend's clash with Mallorca.

Gareth Bale

Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Mallorca)

Gareth Bale picked up what appeared to be a calf problem during the latter stages Wales's Euro 2020 qualifier with Croatia on Sunday night, although the attacker has a chance of being available for the clash with Mallorca.

Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Mallorca)

Luka Modric was forced off the field in the final stages of Croatia's Euro 2020 qualifier with Wales at the weekend. The experienced midfielder appeared to suffer a blow to his quadriceps muscle, and it remains to be seen whether the injury rules him out of the trip to Mallorca.
