Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez has claimed that his impressive performances for Colombia are down to the 'increased support' that he receives for his country.
James helped Colombia record a 3-1 win over Ecuador in their 2018 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday and also netted in their 3-2 success over Bolivia last week.
The 24-year-old has struggled to hit top form for Real Madrid in recent weeks, however, and the forward has insinuated that he struggles to perform when he does not feel fully supported.
"When you play and have the support of everyone, it's easier," AS quotes Rodriguez as telling reporters.
Real Madrid, who are currently on a four-game winning run in La Liga, will travel to Barcelona for El Clasico on Saturday night.
