Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a £60m offer for Fabian Ruiz as they attempt to secure a deal for the Napoli midfielder during this summer's transfer window.
Last month, it was claimed that Los Blancos had again been scouting the Spain international, who is also thought to be of interest to Barcelona.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Madrid are now preparing to make a €70m (£60.9m) offer for the central midfielder, but they would be prepared to pay as much as €80m (£69.6m) to secure a deal.
Ruiz has a contract with Napoli until the summer of 2023, but it is thought that the Italian side are attempting to negotiate a new deal so they can include a release clause.
The 23-year-old has contributed three goals and two assists in 32 appearances at club level this term.
Los Blancos have also allegedly stepped up their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe as they attempt to bring the Frenchman to the Bernabeu.
