Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed that he still wants to bring Kylian Mbappe to Bernabeu.
The France international was widely expected to move to Bernabeu on a free transfer last summer, but he ultimately signed a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe was again in excellent form for the French champions during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 41 goals and registering 10 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
Meanwhile, the forward starred for France at the 2022 World Cup, scoring eight times in the competition, as the Blues reached the final, where they were beaten by Argentina on penalties.
Mbappe's future continues to be called into question, and the 24-year-old could allegedly bring his contract at PSG to an end next summer if he wishes, which has added to the speculation.

Real Madrid continue to be heavily linked with the Frenchman, and the Spanish club's president Perez has confirmed that he still wants to bring the attacker to Bernabeu.
In a video that is circulating on social media, Perez is seen responding: "Yes, but not this year", when he was asked by a Los Blancos fan whether Mbappe could move to Real Madrid.
Los Blancos have lost four attackers this summer, with Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz all leaving the club.
Brahim Diaz's return from a loan spell at AC Milan has been confirmed, but the club will sign at least two more forwards, with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane believed to be a leading target.

Real Madrid could be priced out of a deal for Kane this summer, though, and there have been suggestions that the club would prefer to save funds in the upcoming market in order to move for Mbappe next year.
Erling Braut Haaland, who has helped Manchester City win the treble in his first campaign at the club, is also believed to be a long-term target, although it remains to be seen if the Norway international could be available for transfer next summer.
Fran Garcia has returned to Real Madrid from Rayo Vallecano this summer, while Jude Bellingham is on the verge of making the move to Bernabeu from Borussia Dortmund.
Mbappe arrived at PSG from Monaco in 2017, initially on loan, and he has now represented the capital giants on 260 occasions in all competitions, scoring 212 goals and registering 98 assists in the process.
The forward netted seven goals and provided three assists in eight Champions League appearances this season but was unable to help PSG advance past the last-16 stage of the competition.
