Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has claimed that his team were still short of their best form in Sunday's 4-0 win over Levante, but was pleased to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight.
Pressure on Moyes was believed to be rising following a poor start to the campaign, which had brought just six points from eight matches.
The victory over Levante moved Sociedad three points clear of the bottom three, but Moyes has insisted that his side can still improve their overall level.
"I don't think it was our best game. I think we played a lot better in other games but failed to score as Levante had chances of their own, and goals determine whether you played well or badly," Moyes told reporters.
"We came into the match as the team with the fewest shots on goal in the league, and goals are what count. The most important thing is that the team knew they had to win, played with a great mentality and showed great determination."
Moyes has been strongly linked with the Aston Villa position, which is now vacant following the dismissal of Tim Sherwood.
