Sheffield Wednesday have revealed that Keiren Westwood withdrew from the current Republic of Ireland squad with a hip injury.
The 30-year-old stopper was named in Martin O'Neill's provisional 36-man squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland and international friendly against the USA, but didn't make the final cut.
Wednesday said on their website today that Westwood was suffering with a "minor hip injury".
He has played every minute in the Championship for the Owls since joining on a free from Sunderland in the summer, keeping eight clean sheets in 17 games.
