Zdenek Zeman happy with Roma's victory over Atalanta

Zdenek Zeman is happy to see Roma bounce back from their defeat at Juventus with a home win against Atalanta on Sunday.

Roma coach Zdenek Zeman was pleased with his side's performance against Atalanta in Serie A on Sunday.

Goals from Erik Lamela and Michael Bradley saw the Lupi win 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat to Juventus in Turin last weekend.

"I don't like the concept of having to win regardless of the performance, but I think it's right that we first learn to suffer and then learn to play," said Zeman.

"We suffered above all at the start of the game, but this win is important for us and everyone around Roma.

"We were frightened after the Juventus defeat, so to begin with we were stretched out and left too many spaces. If we don't get courage from the back by going up to help the midfielders, then they tend to pull back instead."

Roma have picked up 11 points from seven matches in Serie A so far.
