Atdhe Nuhiu has insisted that there is enough quality in Sheffield Wednesday's squad to earn a place in the Premier League.
The Owls have yet to truly find their feet this season, having collected five points from a possible 15 on offer.
Despite this, Nuhiu believes that Wednesday's current group is the strongest he can remember during his time at the club, and expects his side's fortunes to turn around once the new players settle in.
"The competition we have now in the team now has never been as high in the two seasons I have been here," he is quoted as saying by The Star.
"We have 15 new players and this can be a very good thing but also the misunderstanding can be there. I am an optimistic person and I am a positive person and I think if we can go again together and start sharp and on front then we can do something because the quality is there for sure."
Wednesday are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor.
