Rhys McCabe and Jeremy Helan were on the scoresheet as Sheffield Wednesday recorded a comfortable win over Charlton Athletic this afternoon.
McCabe, who had never previously found the net during his senior career, broke the deadlock on 22 minutes when he volleyed home from 20 yards, after Miguel Angel Llera's corner kick had been only partially cleared.
The hosts continued to dominate the match after the break and they were finally rewarded in second-half stoppage time when Helan bundled home from close range.
Wednesday, who sit just one place above the Championship relegation zone, have now won back-to-back matches to nil for the first time since April.
