Nottingham Forest are believed to be preparing an offer for Sheffield Wednesday winger Michael Antonio.
New Reds boss Stuart Pearce has already made seven signings this summer, but is still thought to be keen on improving his squad in attacking areas.
Antonio has been a standout player at Hillsborough since arriving, initially on loan, from Reading in 2012, helping them achieve promotion to the Championship and then playing a key role in keeping them there.
Sky Sports News claims that Forest are ready to make a move for the 24-year-old and hope to break Wednesday's resolve to retain Antonio before his reported Premier League suitors join the race for him.
Antonio has scored 18 goals in 84 games for Wednesday and is recognised for his pace and dribbling skills.
