Ricky van Wolfswinkel has revealed that the level of ambition shown by Norwich City was a major factor behind his decision to join the club.
The Dutch striker agreed to link up with the Canaries in the summer from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon, who will receive a reported £8m for their striker's services.
Discussing his reasons behind the switch to Norfolk, the 24-year-old conceded that he had been won over by the club's "very ambitious" plans for the future.
"The club is in the middle of the table and very ambitious, this summer they will be debt free and will get on strong," he told Voetbal International.
"The plan is also to bring in an attacking midfielder and two wide players this summer. With that, Norwich can look to play in the top half of the table."
Van Wolfswinkel has scored 14 goals in all competitions this season.
