Team News: Hwang Hee-chan starts for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Tottenham Hotspur

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage hands Hwang Hee-chan his first start for the club in tonight's EFL Cup encounter with Tottenham Hotspur.

Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Hwang Hee-chan has been handed his full debut for the club in tonight's EFL Cup third-round clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

The RB Leipzig loanee has been restricted to substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season and scored his first top-flight goal against Watford earlier this month.

Hwang was expected to earn a place in the starting XI for Wednesday's battle with Spurs, and Bruno Lage has included the 25-year-old from the first whistle at Molineux.

John Ruddy temporarily takes control of the gloves from Jose Sa, while Yerson Mosquera, Max Kilman and Willy Boly make up the three-man central defence as Ki-Jana Hoever and Rayan Ait Nouri start out wide.

Leander Dendoncker replaces Joao Moutinho in the midfield alongside tonight's captain Ruben Neves, while Hwang joins Daniel Podence and Fabio Silva as part of a front three.
