Former manager David Pleat is lining up a return to Tottenham Hotspur in a scouting role, according to Press Association Sport.
The 66-year-old was at the club's helm during the 1986/7 season before moving on to manage Leicester City.
He would later return to White Hart Lane as caretaker manager on three occasions following the departures of Christian Gross, George Graham and Glenn Hoddle.
Pleat had been working at first club Nottingham Forest since 2006 as football consultant, but stepped down from the role last week following a "restructuring of backroom resources".
