Christian Eriksen: 'We must prove we are better'

Christian Eriksen urges Tottenham Hotspur to recover from their recent performances against Hull City on Saturday.

Christian Eriksen has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur have something to prove when they take on Hull City at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino's side slipped to a 3-0 defeat against Stoke City at the weekend to make it three games without a win, and Eriksen is keen to prove that the performance was just a blip.

"Lots of things went wrong at Stoke," the Dane told the club's website. "Firstly, the chances we created weren't big enough and also the chances we gave them were too big.

"It's not easy to go through that but in a way it's easier to pick yourself up after a big loss because you want to show that you can do better. I think everyone wants to do that.

"We had a really off day against Stoke but we want to get back on track now against Hull. We're a young team but everyone wants to prove that we can do better – and that we are better – than what we showed at the weekend."

Spurs currently sit sixth in the Premier League with two games remaining.
