Jermain Defoe suffers hip injury
A hip injury sustained by Tottenham Hotspur's Jermain Defoe is not believed to be overly serious.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Jermain Defoe has suffered a hip injury.

The complaint, which was reportedly aggravated during a training session last week, has ruled the England striker out of Tottenham's FA Cup tie away at Leeds United this afternoon.

However, the problem is not believed to be too serious and the club's leading goalscorer could be fit enough to be included for Wednesday's trip to Norwich City.

The 30-year-old has scored 14 goals in all competitions this season.
