Real Madrid have decided to make an approach for Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri at the end of the season, according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda.
Santiago Solari was appointed as a replacement for Julen Lopetegui on an interim basis earlier this season, but it appears unlikely that the former midfielder will remain in the dugout.
Real have been linked with both Allegri and Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino, but it appears that the former has been identified as the club's first-choice target.
Inda is quoted by Diario Madridista as saying: "Massimiliano Allegri is the coach he wanted last summer and who wants next summer. He is a coach with whom he spoke personally last summer and called him on the phone.
"Pochettino is going to be impossible because [Daniel] Levy does not release him and he has a contract."
Allegri is in his fifth campaign at Juventus, having already won four league and cup doubles.
