Tim Sherwood: 'Emmanuel Adebayor, Vlad Chiriches could face Sunderland'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood confirms that Emmanuel Adebayor and Vlad Chiriches are both available to face Sunderland on Monday.

Tim Sherwood has said that Emmanuel Adebayor and Vlad Chiriches are both in contention to feature against Sunderland for Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.

The striker has missed the last three matches with a cut on his heel, while Chiriches has been out for eight weeks with a back problem.

The manager told the club's website: "The good news is that Ade is back in training and up for selection and Vlad played in the Under-21 game against Arsenal at the Lane, came through that unscathed, so he will be up for selection as well. Jan [Vertonghen] and Roberto [Soldado] are nowhere near ready, unfortunately."

Spurs sit sixth in the table ahead of this weekend's fixtures.
