How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Bournemouth

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Thursday's Premier League clash with relegation-threatened Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking for a rare Premier League away win on Thursday when they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Spurs have won just three top-flight games on the road in the last 18 months, but know that there is little margin for error in terms of their European aspirations following a run of just two victories in their last 10 outings across all competitions.

Should the visitors beat their out-of-form hosts then it would be back-to-back league wins for the first time since February following Monday night's 1-0 triumph over Everton.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Jose Mourinho could set his side out for the contest.

Eric Dier has been hit with a four-match ban for climbing into the stands to confront a fan in the wake of their FA Cup defeat to Norwich City in March, ruling him out until the final day of the season.

Tottenham's main injury concern heading into this match hangs over Dele Alli, who picked up a hamstring injury in training which ruled him out of the win over Everton.

Mourinho played down the severity of the problem, but hamstring injuries are not something to rush back from and, with the North London derby on the horizon this weekend, the midfielder will again be held back for this one.

Other changes to the 1-0 triumph over Everton could be minimal after Mourinho's trial with a 4-3-3 formation paid dividends, which means that Harry Winks should keep his place in the middle of the park.

Juan Foyth and Japhet Tanganga are the only guaranteed absentees, although the latter is closing in on a return to training and so should not be sidelined for too much longer.

The half-time clash between Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-min stole many of the headlines from the win over Everton, but the duo quickly patched things up and both are in line to start again for this match.

Harry Kane is also expected to lead the line, having scored seven goals in as many games against Bournemouth, ending up on the winning side in each of those matches.
