Real Madrid have dropped a huge hint that they are close to completing a move for Luka Modric by creating a profile page for the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder on their website.
The La Liga champions have been in negotiations with Spurs over the transfer of the Croatian playmaker throughout the summer.
Tottenham were apparently reluctant to sell the 26-year-old for less than their £35m asking price, but reports suggested last week that the two clubs had reached an agreement.
Madrid are seemingly confident of securing their man after they launched Modric's profile page on realmadrid.com tonight.
The page was quickly taken down, but not before a screen grab could be taken that may cause the Spanish giants some embarrassment.
Meanwhile, talks over the transfer continued today, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy apparently insisting that Modric would not leave before the White Hart Lane club bring in a replacement.
