Real Madrid will battle Barcelona for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen this summer, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to go head to head with Barcelona for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen in this summer's transfer window.

Eriksen, 26, only has two years left to run on his contract at White Hart Lane, and has recently been linked with a move to Barcelona, who are said to be considering back-ups for Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann.

Tottenham are said to be confident regarding the future of the Denmark international, but according to Marca, Real Madrid are also very much in the hunt as they look for a replacement for Luka Modric.

Eriksen scored 14 times and registered 13 assists in an impressive 2017-18 campaign for Tottenham.

Meanwhile, the attacker has managed 56 goals in 226 appearances for his English club in all competitions since making the move from Ajax in the summer of 2013.
