Sevilla have emerged as rivals to Inter Milan for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani dos Santos.
The 23-year-old is expected to leave White Hart Lane this summer and close the book on a difficult time in his career.
Dos Santos has made just 17 appearances since his 2008 switch from Barcelona, while also being loaned out to Ipswich Town, Galatasaray and Racing Santander.
The Nerazzurri have long been known to be interested in the Mexican, but his agent Vicente Monte has now revealed that they face competition from Spain.
"Spurs are looking to find a club which would make all three parties happy," Monte told Estadio Deportivo.
"There are a number of teams interested. Teams from Italy and Spain are the closest. Inter Milan are one of the interested clubs, and Sevilla are another."
Dos Santos has won 59 caps for Mexico.
