Stoke City owner Peter Coates has insisted that they want to keep goalkeeper Asmir Begovic but admit that they won't deny him the chance to join a top club.
The Bosnia international has enjoyed an outstanding couple of seasons with the Potters which has reportedly attracted the interest of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
While Stoke aren't keen on letting the 25-year-old leave, Coates conceded that Begovic could leave the Britannia Stadium for the right club and the right price.
"Asmir is a super professional player," Coates told Sky Sports News. "We like him very much. He is a top, top goalkeeper. I think he is as good as anybody in the Premier League.
"But he is also ambitious. If top clubs come for your players, I do not think you can deny them the opportunity. That is my view.
"But it would depend very much on the money being right. We are not looking to sell him. We are not expecting to sell him. We expect him to be our goalkeeper next season."
Begovic joined Stoke in 2010.
