Sunderland striker Fabio Borini is reportedly jetting to Italy to undergo a medical with AC Milan after an agreement was reached in a deal that could be worth up to £6.3m.
The 26-year-old has also been on the radar of Lazio and was said to be due to meet manager Simone Inzaghi on Wednesday to discuss personal terms.
According to the Daily Mail, however, former Roma and Parma ace Borini will instead move to Serie A rivals Milan, with a medical arranged for Thursday.
Milan are claimed to have offered £1m to take the player on loan for a year, before possibly handing over a further £5.3m to take him on a permanent basis next summer.
Borini has scored just 16 league goals in the past five years, including two in 24 Premier League outings for Sunderland last term as they suffered relegation.
