Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has admitted that he is unlikely to risk the fitness of defender Chico Flores for their match with Southampton on Saturday.
The Spanish defender picked up a leg injury during Swansea's Capital One Cup victory over Liverpool and although he is nearing full fitness, Laudrup has revealed that he is likely to keep faith with Garry Monk after he impressed against Chelsea last weekend.
Laudrup said: "Garry came on against Liverpool and did well and he did well against Fernando Torres.
"We really don't want to lose players, better to leave them out for a game then come back."
Flores joined Swansea from Genoa during the summer.
