Brendan Rodgers has backed Wayne Routledge to shine when Swansea City host Manchester City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.
Routledge has not started for the Swans since January 2, but is likely to get a chance due to Nathan Dyer's three-match ban.
"Wayne is a very good player who we paid a lot of money for," Rodgers said.
"He has got good experience and great maturity in his game and he is exciting.
"We have a player there who has worked hard every day while waiting for a chance. He will be champing at the bit to show that he can take that slot and go and prove that he can stay in the team."
Swansea are currently 14th in the Premier League with 33 points from 27 games.
