Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live transfer blog. Just eight days remain between now and the end of the January transfer window, meaning that time is fast running out for clubs up and down the land to complete their business.

There has been plenty of movement overnight, all of which we will round up in an hour's time, but before then let's take a look at some of the big stories to have emerged this morning:

- Manchester United 'eyeing Nathaniel Clyne swoop'

- Raheem Sterling's Liverpool contract talks stall?

- Arsenal agree fee for Villarreal centre-back Gabriel Paulista

Recent speculation has suggested that Sam Allardyce may make a £12m permanent move for Arsenal loanee Carl Jenkinson this month, although the Hammers boss has now insisted that he is undecided on the player's long-term future. Watch this space.

It's now 8am, which means that it is time for our first Transfer Talk Update of the day - including all the latest on Raheem Sterling, Paul Pogba, Gabriel Paulista, David de Gea and more.

DEVELOPMENT! Juan Cuadrado's proposed move to Chelsea has taken another twist after Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella revealed to reporters that the Colombian could leave the club should the Blues pay out the player's release clause.

Reports suggest that figure is in the region of £26.8m, so the ball is now very much in Jose Mourinho's court. Click here to read more.

Well that brings to an end my time on transfer watch, but fear not because Joe Fish is on hand to take you through until midday with all the latest developments. Enjoy!

Thanks Dan. Could an old favourite be coming back to the Premier League? Reports this morning are claiming that Dimitar Berbatov wants to return to England and that QPR are readying a £1m swoop for the former Man United and Spurs striker. The mercurial Bulgarian left Fulham for Monaco in January in 2014, but is already to leave the luxurious French principality. Goodness knows why.

Spurs have been linked with plenty of strikers this month to ease the goalscoring burden on Harry Kane, but it seems as if their main priority is rewarding the 18-goal forward with an improved contract. Kane only signed a five-year deal in August, but is now reportedly close to signing a one-year extension that would see him double his salary to around £35,000 per week.

Bafetimbi Gomis could be a player on the move in the final week or so of the window. Crystal Palace have been linked with a £9m move for the Swansea City striker, who is supposedly unhappy at the Liberty Stadium and has been scouting houses in London ahead of a potential exit.

That's it from me on a quiet morning in the transfer market, but things are sure to gather pace over the coming days and Jack Prescott is next to guide you through the news and gossip...

Good afternoon! Right, let's get things started with a bit of continental news, with Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani reportedly on the radar of Juventus. The Uruguayan's future in the French capital is believed to be uncertain following his late return from a winter break, which saw him fined by head coach Laurent Blanc.

Cardiff City are reportedly keen to sign Leeds United midfielder Rodolph Austin before the end of the transfer window. The 29-year-old has found starting opportunities hard to come in recent weeks under the management of Neil Redfearn at Elland Road.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is plotting a raid on his former club Feyenoord for defensive duo Terence Kongolo and Sven van Beek, according to reports. Kongolo and van Beek, both 20, are regulars in the Feyenoord side, both having featured over 20 times for the Dutch club this season.

Norwegian international goalkeeper Orjan Nyland is nearing a move to Premier League side Everton, according to reports. The 24-year-old, currently with Molde in Norway's Tippeligaen, has been linked with a host of European sides including Manchester United after impressing for club and country over the last 18 months.

Everton are lining up a loan move for Aston Villa midfielder Charles N'Zogbia, according to reports. Toffees boss Roberto Martinez, who coached the 28-year-old at Wigan Athletic, has targeted N'Zogbia as he looks to add some width to his side.

That's all from me for this afternoon, but I'm pleased to say that Giuseppe Labellarte will now be here to keep you up to date with all of the latest news and gossip coming out of the January transfer window.

Hello folks! Giuseppe here and for the next few hours I will be bringing you all the latest transfer news and speculation as it comes in. First we have reports that Liverpool are planning a raid on Bolton Wanderers for their goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, after his impressive performance in the FA Cup fourth round clash between the two sides yesterday.

For anybody hoping to see the supremely talented Michael Essien back in the Premier League, it's not looking good - his agent claims that the 32-year-old doesn't want to line up against former club Chelsea.

BREAKING NEWS! Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has put pen to paper on a new four-and-a-half year deal at Villa Park. Watch this space...

Here is the full article on Fabian Delph's contract extension. The England international was reportedly on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, so Villa fans will no doubt be pleased with this development.

Everton have not been having the best of times lately, struggling to get results and seeing Samuel Eto'o leave Goodison Park for Sampdoria. But there may be a light at the end of the tunnel - reports have emerged claiming that AC Milan starlet Stephan El Shaarawy is being courted by the Toffees.

DONE DEAL: Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen have confirmed the signing of Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Graeme Shinnie. The 23-year-old has signed a pre-contract agreement with the high-flying Dons, and will move to Pittodrie at the end of the season.

Reports have emerged linking Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos with Hull City. The 24-year-old stopper has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford following the signing of Victor Valdes, while the Tigers are said to be on the lookout for a new stopper as Steve Harper is reportedly refusing to commit his future to the KC Stadium outfit.

More transfer speculation coming from Old Trafford as Manchester United are left sweating over the future of goalkeeper David de Gea - if the Spanish stopper decides that he wants to move to Real Madrid, the Red Devils will reportedly revive their interest in Welsh winger Gareth Bale.

The future of Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has been under intense speculation in recent weeks, with West Ham United reportedly his most likely destination should he leave Old Trafford - but it has been reported that the Hammers have issued the Scotland captain with a 24-hour ultimatum on whether he wants to move to Upton Park or not.

Well, my time on Transfer Talk this afternoon has come to an end, but fear not, because my colleague Jack Prescott will be taking you through the evening's transfer news and discussion. Until next time folks!

Good evening! A bit of news from the Championship now, with Bolton Wanderers reportedly poised to sign Adam Le Fondre on loan from fellow Championship side Cardiff City. The 28-year-old joined Cardiff last summer after three seasons at Reading, but has gone on to score just three league goals in 19 starts.

BREAKING NEWS! Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he expects to complete the signing of Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista in the next 24 hours. You can read more about that story here.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly close to completing the signing of Wigan Athletic midfielder Callum McManaman. Baggies boss Tony Pulis has openly admitted that he would like to land the 23-year-old's signature this month, while up to three other Premier League teams are also said to be interested.

That's all from me for this evening, but Pascal Lemesre will now be taking over the reins to keep you updated with all of the latest news and gossip from the January transfer window. Enjoy!

Cheers JP. Well, it's 7pm and you know what that means by now - Transfer Talk Update time.

Meanwhile, Everton have confirmed that Samuel Eto'o will join Sampdoria within the next 24 hours. Here's the Cameroonian in a selfie with club owner Massimo Ferrero today.

A couple of stories from the Championship for you now. First, Wigan Athletic are said to be eyeing Leeds United centre-back Jason Pearce, while Wolves have had no contact from West Brom over the sale of Bakary Sako, according to Kenny Jackett.

Righty ho, my shift has come to an end so time for me to hand over to Callum Mulvihill for the next few hours. Mulv...

We've seen a number of goalkeepers pop up as potential targets for Liverpool this month due to the troubling form of Simon Mignolet, but there hasn't been news of a signing yet. Is Marc-Andre ter Stegen the answer? Liverpool are reportedly planning a loan move for the Barcelona shot-stopper.

It's unlikely that you've forgotten about Chelsea's shock defeat to Bradford in the FA Cup, and the performances of some of Jose Mourinho's fringe players could see him enter the transfer market soon. Mourinho has hinted that he is unhappy with the lack of depth in his squad.

Rudy Gestede continues to be linked with a move away from Blackburn Rovers, and the striker further enhanced his reputation with a goal in the victory over Swansea City yesterday. However, Jason Lowe has insisted that there are no concerns about his teammate's focus on the pitch.

West Ham are reported to be keen to sign Darren Fletcher before the end of the month, and Manchester United are believed to be open to letting the Scot leave Old Trafford. However, Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has admitted that he is unsure whether Fletcher will decide to move to Upton Park.

That's all from me tonight, but Shane Callaghan is here to bring you all of the latest transfer news until 2am. Over to you, Shane!

Thanks Daniel. Good evening folks and we've got a bit to get through this evening, but we'll start with the news that Nathaniel Clyne's future appears to be in doubt amid speculation linking him to Mancheter United. Here's what the Southampton defender has had to say.

You've all heard of Chelsea's reported interest in Douglas Costa I'm sure, but what you won't have heard yet is that the Brazilian has reiterated his desire to join the Blues, citing Jose Mourinho's presence as a big reason behind his "dream" move.

We've seen the Douglas Costa story, but Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that he's still not tempted to spend after losing to Bradford City on Saturday. More on this here.

Anywho, that's all we've got time for tonight, my friends, but we're back in action in just five short hours time so be sure to return at some point. Bye for now...
