Valencia head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has admitted that his side desperately need to find a replacement for Nicolas Otamendi.
After months of speculation surrounding Otamendi's future, the Argentine defender finally secured a move away from the Mestalla last week by signing for Manchester City.
Valencia managed to secure a spot in the Champions League group stage without the centre-back by completing a 4-3 aggregate triumph over Monaco on Tuesday, but Nuno admits that the club will have to enter the transfer market.
"We need to make some decisions after this game," he told Antena 3. "We have to talk and take a look at the market.
"There are many details to analyse but after Otamendi's departure we need someone to replace him - and it will not be easy."
Valencia have recently been linked with Zenit St Petersburg defender Ezequiel Garay.
