West Bromwich Albion chairman Jeremy Peace has insisted that Saido Berahino will not be sold this month.
The 21-year-old striker, who has scored 14 goals this season, has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks.
However, Peace has reiterated the club's desire to keep hold of the youngster until the end of the season and beyond.
"I said in the autumn that the club had no interest in selling Saido and that remains the case," he told the club's official website.
"Unless [the manager] decides otherwise, the view will surely be that he is far too important to us to consider trading. His goals are capable of keeping us in the Premier League and would be hugely difficult to replace."
Berahino signed his first professional contract with the Baggies in 2010 after graduating from their youth academy.
