West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has admitted that the team is "buzzing" following their late victory over Sunderland.
The Hammers ended their seven-game winless run in the Premier League on Saturday as Diafra Sakho's 88th-minute goal made the difference at Upton Park.
After a dip in form in recent weeks, Cresswell is pleased that he and his teammates were able to get back to winning ways against the Black Cats.
"We're all buzzing and delighted because it was a much-needed three points after the run we've been on," he told the club's official website. "We hadn't really been good enough lately, but we ground it out and kept going until the end. Thankfully Diafra made a great finish.
"We said at half time to keep it tight at the back, make sure they don't score and then you've still got another 45 minutes. It took until the 88th minute for us to score, but you'll take a 1-0 and a clean sheet all day."
West Ham are back in action on April 4 when they travel to struggling Leicester City in the league.
