Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett insists that only "committed" players will maintain a place in his squad.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has admitted that every member of his squad must be "proud" to wear the club's shirt.

The Molineux outfit suffered relegation to League One last season, but Jackett is determined to put together a side that are motivated to achieve an instant return to the second tier of English football.

The 51-year-old told the Express & Star: "I want – and I'm going to need – people who are committed to the cause and want to be here and see this as the type of fantastic opportunity and the fantastic club that I do.

"If they are not committed – and I'm talking about all the players – my interest in them will go pretty quickly. I do see motivation levels as a big thing, especially in League One.

"There has to be a team here with players that are proud to pull the shirt on."

Jackett moved to Wolves last month, after previously resigning from his role at Millwall.
