Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo hails his side's "good performance" after the club move to the top of the Championship with a 2-0 win over Norwich City.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has hailed his side's "good performance" after the club moved to the top of the Championship with a 2-0 win over Norwich City.

Wolves' win on Tuesday night was capped off by forward Leo Bonatini, who netted his ninth goal of the season in the second half after Willy Boly's header had given the visitors the lead at Carrow Road.

The result was crucial for Nuno's side following their defeat to Queens Park Rangers last Saturday.

"It was a good performance and a good result," the manager told reporters. "It was important to bounce back from a bad result and a bad performance.

"We played good football, we were compact, we were solid, and we managed a good team. Norwich is a good team, they play good football and have good players.

"This is the first step that you take and we took that together. We stood up together today and it was good."

Wolves host Fulham on Friday at Molineux in their next Championship game.
